Join us one Saturday each month for discussion as well as "interactive demonstrations" of a variety of garden topics. Presentations will be held in the 4-H Building, Lake County Fairgrounds, on scheduled Saturdays at 10 a.m. These free programs are provided by Lake County Master Gardener Volunteers.

  • August 17 - Questions and Answers during Lake County Fair (Please note that regular Fair entrance fees may be charged at the gate)
  • September 7 - Questions and Answers during our Annual Garden Mart

Our Extension office is grateful for the continued financial support of the Lake County Commissioners. Budget cuts have impacted every department in the county, including our own. With our recent reduction in staff, our office hours have changed. We are now open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It may be best to call before you visit to be sure the office is staffed. Thank you for your support in this time of transition.

The Ohio State University has begun a new fund-raising campaign to support students from all 88 Ohio counties. The "Ohio Scholarship Challenge" seeks to raise $100 million in general undergraduate scholarship funds for Ohio State students at all campuses. This Challenge is also part of the university’s larger effort to raise $500 million in private funds for student financial aid and scholarships. The Ohio Scholarship Challenge honorary co-chairs are Ohio State head football Coach Urban Meyer and men’s basketball Coach Thad Matta.
