Lake County Awarded Opportunity To Work with NACDD
Lake County was one of thirteen elite communities nationwide chosen by NACDD to participate in the Action Communities for Health, Innovations, and EnVironmental ChangE (ACHIEVE) grant and Ohio State University Extension Lake County will be participating.
Lisa Siciliano-Miller, Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences has been selected to participate in the (ACHIEVE) Action Communities for Health, Innovations, and EnVironmental ChangE grant for Lake County. Lake County was awarded a unique opportunity through the National Association of Chronic Disease (NACDD). NACDD is partnering with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention's Division of Adolescent and Community Health to implement this initiative. The Lake County General Health District obtained the grant and is providing the oversight. Lake County was one of thirteen elite communities nationwide chosen by NACDD for this program, making it part of 43 pilot programs in the United States. Lisa will assist in changing policies, developing a Community Action Plan and providing education for Lake County through this ACHIEVE grant.
