About the Master Gardener Program
Master Gardeners are enthusiastic community members dedicated to learning and sharing their gardening knowledge with others. The Master Gardeners undergo extensive classroom and field training before they are certified and continue with advanced training throughout their service. They share research-based information from The Ohio State University and seek opportunities to share their knowledge one person at a time or to large groups presenting classes to garden clubs, senior groups, church groups, libraries and conduct planting demonstrations at garden center special events. They also work with 4-H groups and schools teaching children the love of gardening.
