Storm water normally flows through drains and pipes into local streams, rivers, and lakes. Along the way this water is warmed by hot pavement, and it is polluted by minerals, trash, and bacteria on our streets. Rain gardens protect our waterways by filtering storm water and allowing it to soak into the ground. This presentation will introduce the basic concepts of Rain Garden design and construction.
