Rain Gardens

Saturday, September 9, 2023 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Location:
Mentor Public Library, 8215 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060

Storm water normally flows through drains and pipes into local streams, rivers, and lakes. Along the way this water is warmed by hot pavement, and it is polluted by minerals, trash, and bacteria on our streets. Rain gardens protect our waterways by filtering storm water and allowing it to soak into the ground. This presentation will introduce the basic concepts of Rain Garden design and construction.

The Lake County Master Gardener Volunteers are partnering with the Mentor Public Library for this series of nine Saturday sessions. Although the sessions are FREE, space is limited and registration IS required through the library. Go to https://mentorpl.org for registration instructions and information.
