Biography: 

Sandra Slater is a Licensed Social Worker through the State of Ohio with an undergraduate degree from Kent State University and a Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling in Health and Wellness. She has over 25 years of experience in community education, grant writing, program development, and interagency coordination in the northeast Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania regional areas. She has served as a community education instructor for the State of Ohio, provided graduate and undergraduate courses at local colleges and has delivered child care and education professional development for over 15 years. Her areas of expertise consist of child development, mental health and parenting. She has provided administration and supervision of early childhood programs, workforce development, fatherhood, youth prevention and work readiness initiatives... Sandra currently is working as a Family and Consumer Sciences Educator for the Ohio State University Extension office in Lake County. Sandra is certified in many parenting programs, developmental evaluations, psychological trauma, and crisis management and infant bonding and attachment. Her focus is delivering strong programming in Healthy People, Healthy Families, Healthy Finances and Healthy Relationships with partnership agencies and the residents of Lake County.
