What is 4-H?

Who can join 4-H?

Youth, age 5 and in kindergarten through age 19 as of January 1st of the current year, may join 4-H.

Where do I sign up in 4-H?

To join a Lake County 4-H club, you must be a Lake County resident. Contact the Lake County Extension office at 440-853-2632.

When should I sign up for 4-H?

Join anytime! But join by the county's 4-H enrollment deadline (April 15) to take advantage of all the 4-H opportunities including participation in our Lake County Fair!

What is there to do in 4-H?

Traditional members, age 8 and in third grade to age 19 as of January 1st of the current year, select 4-H project(s) to explore through club and county activities. Find out more at the state 4-H website.

You can choose from more than 200 projects in 4-H. Use the 4-H Family Guide to learn about each and every project.

Cloverbud members, age 5 and in kindergarten until age 8 and in third grade, participate in non-competitive activities exploring a variety of fun, hands-on interest areas.

What are the benefits of 4-H?

Members learn life skills, make new friends, enhance self-esteem, achieve personal goals, develop positive relationships with peers and volunteers, and have fun learning and sharing as a family and a club. Don't forget about the international exchange, fair participation, and summer camp fun too!
