The Lake County Extension office suggests Penn State Agricultural Analytical Services Lab for all your soil testing needs. Soil test kits are available at the Extension office for a cost of $12.00 each. This includes the analysis but does not include postage. The one cup soil sample can be mailed in a zip type sandwich bag that is then placed into a small padded envelope or small box.

Turnaround time for routine soil analysis is approximately 3-7 days from the time samples are received at the lab.
